European Network Atlantikwall
The choice of the provincial museum of Raversyde (BE), one of the largest and best preserved Atlantic Wall sites as project leader for the Creative Europe cooperation is the first part of the construction of a sustainable network of Atlantic Wall heritage sites in Europe. Raversyde is also centrally located on the Atlantic coast and plans to become a European expertise center about Atlantic Wall history.
Membership of the AWE network is open to all interested parties, whether from government organizations, NGOs or other organizations working within the field Atlantic Wall sites. Workings of AWE will be structured along the needs and capacities of its members, establishing committees in order to structure the subjects to treat: volunteer associations professionalization and harmonisation, youth, academics, museums, governmental authorities, forced laborers history, AW present-day interpretation of Atlantic Wall sites.
