Bunkerzoom rules
Anyone who submits his/her photo by posting it via Facebook or Instagram accepts the contest rules of the Atlantic Wall Europe (AWE) bunkerzoom photo contest.
You are allowed to submit 1 photograph per person. This photograph must have been taken by yourself. You can read the rules of the contest in detail below.
It is required that the photograph is taken in Europe. We are zooming in on WWI and WWII bunkers or bunkers from other periods that are considered heritage sites located in our daily environment. The central theme of the contest is the Atlantic Wall (the bunkers making up the defence line built under Nazi German occupation during the Second World War).
Terms and conditions of the contest
The rules and regulations of the contest (hereinafter referred to as ‘rules of the game’) apply to the Atlantic Wall Europe photo contest Bunkerzoom 2020- 2021 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Photo Contest’) organized by the Province of West Flanders / Atlantikwall Raversyde, Provinciehuis Boeverbos, Koning Leopold III- laan 41, 8200 Sint-Andries (Bruges), Belgium, hereinafter referred to as the organizer.
Bunkerzoom is set up as part of the Creative Europe – Atlantic Wall Europe project. Atlantic Wall Europe is a partnership between cultural heritage associations in 7 Atlantic Wall countries. The steering group is composed of representatives of the Province of West Flanders / Atlantikwall Raversijde (Belgium), the Flemish Land Agency (Belgium), the European Heritage Atlantic Wall Foundation (the Netherlands) and La Frabrique de Patrimoines en Normandie (France). The objective is to build a European network and partnership to raise awareness among current and future generations about the Atlantic Wall heritage, war and peace, a connected Europe, shared values, the collective memory and mutual understanding.
The Atlantic Wall is still there to be discovered in our European landscape. It is an impressive line of defence which is more than 5000 kilometres long, built by Nazi Germany in the occupied territories during the Second World War in an effort to prevent an Allied invasion.
